Oman
Diplomatic relations were established on 24 March 1984. Both side have also set up embassies in their respective capitals (Muscat on 1 February 1990 and Bandar Seri Begawan on 25 August 1986). The Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Oman is His Excellency Haji Sulaini bin Haji Said. The Ambassador of Oman to Brunei Darussalam is His Excellency Sheikh Ahmad bin Hashil bin Rashid Al-Maskari.
Brunei Darussalam and the Sultanate of Oman signed the following MOUs/Agreements:
A Joint Working Group known as "Bilateral Consultative Meeting" was established in 1993 with the purpose of strengthening bilateral relations. Various areas of cooperation have been identified in areas such as trade and investment; oil and gas; education; air services; municipality; religious matters; agriculture and fisheries; culture and information.The 1st Brunei Darussalam-Oman Joint Committee Meeting was held in Bandar Seri Begawan in June 2010.The following are Brunei Darussalam's trade statistics on imports and exports with the State of Qatar:
