The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the Government of the Republic of The Gambia have decided to establish diplomatic relations with effect from 21 January 2016.
The signing of the Joint Communiqué took place at the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.
The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was represented by His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin POKDG SLDLU Haji Awang Mohd Taha, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia whilst the Government of the Republic of The Gambia was represented by His Excellency Abubucarr Jah, Ambassador of the Republic of The Gambia to Malaysia.
