In line with Brunei Vision 2035’s goals towards becoming a dynamic and sustainable economy, the Trade Promotion Unit under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs undertakes the responsibility of Brunei Darussalam's trade promotional activities to enhance opportunity for Brunei’s products and businesses to access regional and international market.

The objectives of Trade Promotion Unit (TPU) are (i) to increase business and investment opportunities; (ii) to expand market for Brunei Darussalam’s products and services; and (iii) to expand supply base for foreign direct investment (FDI), raw materials, technology and tourism.

Pursuing these objectives, so far, the activities undertaken include (a) participate in international trade exhibitions; (b) coordinate activities of ASEAN-Japan Centre, ASEAN-Korea Centre and ASEAN-China Centre; (c) coordinate trade visits (outbound and inbound); (d) publish relevant promotion materials such as Business Guidebook; (e) supports activities of Brunei Missions Overseas; and (f) organize outreach and consultations programs.
