The Kingdom of Thailand

Brunei Darussalam (BD) and The Kingdom of Thailand established diplomatic relations on 1 January 1984.
Ties between both countries dates back to 1971 when Brunei Darussalam first had an agreement for the importation of rice from Thailand.
Both countries cooperate extensively in several areas including trade (rice and sugar) and investment, energy, agriculture, health, education, labour and defence. There are daily direct flights from BSB to Bangkok operated by Royal Brunei Airlines.

Oct 2017	Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng, then-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II attended the Royal Cremation Ceremony of King Bhumibol Adulyadej
Aug 2018	Working Visit of Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

Aug 2017	Working Visit of General Surapong Suwana-Adth, Chief of Defence Forces, Royal Thai Armed Forces.
Oct 2017	General (Retd.) Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand and wife, Associate Professor Naraporn Chan-o-cha attended the Royal Banquet on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the throne.
Jan 2018	Working Visit of H.E Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
Feb 2018	Working Visit of General Tarnchaiyan Srisuwan, Chief of Defence Forces, Royal Thai Armed Forces.
