The Kingdom of Thailand



  • Brunei Darussalam (BD) and The Kingdom of Thailand established diplomatic relations on 1 January 1984.

  • Ties between both countries dates back to 1971 when Brunei Darussalam first had an agreement for the importation of rice from Thailand. 

  • Both countries cooperate extensively in several areas including trade (rice and sugar) and investment, energy, agriculture, health, education, labour and defence. There are daily direct flights from BSB to Bangkok operated by Royal Brunei Airlines.
