The Business visit visa is issued for the purpose of investment or business related activities in Brunei Darussalam
The Business visit visa is required to be applied by the registered business company or government link company in Brunei Darussalam. The visa application needs to be submitted to the Visa and Diplomatic Section, the Department of Immigration and National Registration, Brunei Darussalam
Visa issued for the purpose of professional work/expertise required for a particular project awarded in Brunei Darussalam.
The Professional visit visa is required to be applied by the government agencies/ government link company/business registered company in Brunei Darussalam. The visa application needs to be submitted to the Visa and Diplomatic Section, the Department of Immigration and National Registration, Brunei Darussalam.
Once approval has been received from the Deparment of Immigration and National Registration, Brunei Darussalam, applicants can "stamp a visa" at the Embassy.
The following documents are required for the above application:-
6) STUDENT VISA
The following documents are required for the above application:
- An approval letter from the Department of Immigration, Brunei Darussalam-to be printed by the Embassy;
- A copy of the letter of the Student Pass;
- Original Passport (not less than 7 months before the date of expiry must have at least 6 empty pages recto-verso);
- Visa application form;
- One (1) recent passport size photograph;
- A copy of the passport;
- A copy of the Letter of Acceptance from the University/College/School/Academy in Brunei;
- Medical Check Up;
- A copy of Medical Certificate;
- Visa fee RP 220,000

• Completed documents for application can either be presented to the Embassy in person or by a representative (accompanied by a letter).

POLICE CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT
Those requiring a Police Certificate of Good Conduct from Brunei Darussalam should submit the following documents to the Embassy:
- An explanatory letter addressed to the Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force explaining the reason for requesting the Certificate of Good Conduct, and some background of the applicant's previous stay in Brunei Darussalam.
- Copy of all pages of applicant's passport (the ones containing previous employment stamp from the Department of Immigration and National Registration, Brunei Darussalam);
- Current mailing address, email and contact number;
- Payment is B$ 50.00 per applicant (must be paid in Rupiah based on the latest foreign currency exchange rate).
The application will be forwarded to the Royal Brunei Police Force, Brunei Darussalam.
CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF BRUNEI DOCUMENTS
The requirements for a certified true copy for any Brunei documents are as follows:
- An explanatory letter for the request including details on reason for requesting for the certified true copy;
- Original Brunei documents for verification;
- A copy of Brunei documents that need to be certified;
- A copy of Identity Card/Passport of applicant;
- The documents has been certified by the Court and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brunei Darussalam.
Note:
Documents which are not authorised by the Court and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brunei Darussalam will be sent to Brunei Darussalam for validation.
BRUNEI DARUSSALAM CITIZEN SERVICES
TRAVELLING TO THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
- Brunei Darussalam citizens travelling to the Republic of Indonesia for holiday, employment or study purposes are advised to register with the Embassy – via e-register .
- Brunei Darussalam citizens are given 30 days to stay in the Republic of Indonesia without visa.
- For Permenant Residence using Certificate of Identity (CI), they are required to apply for a visa via https://visa-online.imigrasi.go.id/ and contact the Embassy of Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Bandar Seri Begawan for more information.
- Brunei Darussalam citizens who are planning to stay for more than 30 days must have a visa before leaving Brunei Darussalam. They are required to apply for a visa at the Embassy of Republic Indonesia in Bandar Seri Begawan.
- Bruneian students who are on a student exchange programme in Indonesia must have a visa before leaving Brunei Darussalam. They are required to apply for a visa at the Embassy of Republic Indonesia in Bandar Seri Begawan.
- Those who have a visa and plans to extend their stay in the Republic of Indonesia, please visit the nearest Immigration Office in Indonesia to extend your stay permit and avoid overstaying in the Republic of Indonesia.
RENEWAL AND LOST PASSPORT
1. Brunei Darussalam citizens residing in Indonesia who need to renew or have lost their passports, they are advised to notify the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia via hotline +62 811 9006564 or e-mail to Jakarta.indonesia@mfa.gov.bn / kedubesbrunei@gmail.com .
2. An application form to renew passports can be requested from the Embassy and should be returned complete with the following documents:-
- An explanatory letter detailing reasons for renewing or replacement of passport, addressed to the Director of Immigration and National Registration Department, Brunei Darussalam (applicants should include contact details in full);
- A copy of Police Report (only for lost passports);
- A copy of Brunei Passport (if applicable);
- Two (2) passport-sized photos (with white background);
- A copy of birth certificate (both sides);
- A copy of Brunei Identification Card (both sides);
- A copy of Brunei Residence Permit (if applicable);
- Letter of certification from present school/college/university (if studying) or employer (if working);
- Payment of B$ 60.00 (must be paid in Rupiah based on the latest foreign currency exchange rate).
EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE (SIJIL DARURAT)
1) Brunei Darussalam citizens who have lost their passport while visiting Republic of Indonesia should apply for an emergency certificate (Sijil Darurat) through the Embassy.
This certificate is only a one-way travel document to be used for return travel to Brunei Darussalam.
The applicant has to go to the Embassy for the issuance of the Emergency Certificate.
These are the required documents:
- An explanatory letter on the reasons for an emergency certificate, addressed to the Director of Immigration and National Registration Department, Brunei Darussalam;
- Fill in the form;
- A copy of Brunei Passport (if applicable);
- A copy of Police Report (for lost passporls);
- A copy of Brunei Identity Card:
- A copy of applicant's Birth Certificate (both sides);
- Letter of certification from present school/college/university (if studying) or employer (if working);
- Two (2) passport-size photos;
- Return ticket to Brunei Darussalam;
- Payment is Rp 220,000
2) Children of Brunei Darussalam citizens born in Republic of Indonesia (the father is Brunei Darussalam citizen) can apply for an emergency certificate to be used for returning to Brunei. In this case, the application form and documents listed above should also be submitted with the additional documents, such as:
- An explanatory letter on the reasons for an emergency certificate, addressed to the Director of Immigration and National Registration Department, Brunei Darussalam;
- Letter of approval as a Brunei Darussalam citizen;
- A copy of parents' Marriage Certificate;
- A copy of childs' Birth Certificates (both sides);
- A copy of parents' Identification Certificates;
- A copy of parents' Passports;
- Return ticket to Brunei Darussalam;
- Payment is Rp. 220,000.
Note:
The applicant who will be interviewed by the Indonesian Immigration and the Emergency Certificate has to be endorsed by the Indonesian Immigration before leaving Indonesia.
REGISTRATION OF BIRTH
A child born in the Republic of Indonesia whose father is a Brunei Darussalam citizen should report to the Embassy within a period of six months after the date of birth.
An application form for registration can be requested from the Embassy and should be submitted along with the following documents:-
- An explanatory letter from the father addressed to the Department of Immigration and National Registration, Brunei Darussalam stating reason(s) for being in Republic of Indonesia (including supporting documents, if any);
- A copy of applicant's birth certificate;
- A copy of parents' marriage certificate;
- A copy of parents' Identification Card;
- A copy of parents' passport;
Note:
The application will be forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam and Department of Immigration and National Registration in Brunei Darussalam for further consideration.
