A. REGISTRATION OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM'S CITIZEN IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

• It is advisable for Brunei Darussalam's citizens residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to register with the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Riyadh.
  

• This is important to ensure of their well-being in the country at any time.

B. VISA

1) APPLYING VISA TO ENTER BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

The following documents are required for the visa application process and to be submitted to the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Riyadh.

• A completed Visa Application Form;

Visa form can be obtained directly (free of charge) from the Embassy or via online as attached, Annex 2​)

• A copy of Applicant's Passport of validity not less than six (6) months and with sufficient pages for onward journey.
  
   
• Two (2) Original Passport Size Colored Photos;
  
   
• A copy of Iqamah (Resident's Identity Card);
  
   
• A copy of valid Exit and Re-Entry Visa;
  
   
• A copy of return (or) onward Flight Tickets;
  
   
• A copy of Hotel Reservation(s) in Brunei Darussalam;
  
   
• Letter from company/ relevant authorities, where the applicant works in Saudi Arabia;
  
   
• Sufficient funds for the period of stay in Brunei Darussalam - (Bank statement of 3 months is required);
  
  

Visa Fee:

For purposes OTHER THAN SOCIAL VISITS, the following documents are required:

• For Employment purpose only:

A 'Letter of Authority to Issue Visa' from Immigration Department of Brunei Darussalam;

• For Business or official meeting purposes only;

A 'Verification Letter' from the sponsors /employers in Brunei Darussalam.

Time of submission:

• It is advisable to submit the application forms together with the required documents to the Embassy at least three (3) weeks before the scheduled travel to Brunei Darussalam.
• However, for countries that required to be referred to Brunei Darussalam, it is advised to submit the applications even earlier.

2) VISA ARRANGEMENTS

• Visa arrangements are categorized by countries depending on arrangement made by Brunei Darussalam and other countries based on reciprocity – the shortest is 2 weeks and the longest is 3 months. It also varied pending on types of passports (diplomatic, official and ordinary). Some are given on arrival and others need to apply it prior to their visit at the nearest Brunei Embassy in foreign countries.

3) APPLYING VISA TO ENTER KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

For Brunei Passport holders:

• Brunei Darussalam nationals can apply for a tourist visa via online (eVisa) through eVisa platform to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

• Tourist Visa on Arrival can also be obtained through the visa offices of the Immigration Department.
• However, it is advisable to apply prior to travelling to Saudi Arabia.
